Bedwetting is more than just waking up in a wet bed. It’s also about waking up feeling disappointed in yourself, waking up with a daily knock to your confidence, waking up thinking this is never going to get better.
Bedwetting and Homeopathy
Here’s a case I treated recently. I’m starting with the Mum’s own words on how she got on with homeopathic treatment (case details further down):
I first contacted Anne to see if she could help my son..I must say I had been to G.p first but I wasn’t prepared to put my son on medicines for bedwetting he was having a terrible time with wetting the bed…he had never been dry at night he was still wearing nappies at night…He was very sad by this as his twin brother wasn’t wearing nappies and he felt terrible about it..I contacted Anne to see if she could help. After speaking to her I instantly knew she could really put my mind at ease…I knew in my heart that she could help…within weeks my son was out of nappies and as he says himself ” being dry makes him feel fantastic ” Thanks so much for helping my son and I look forward to the wonders that Anne can do with the rest of my family. This young guy has always wet the bed. Every night without fail. He toilet trained really easy at age 3 but just never managed the nights. He is a really deep sleeper. This is something that comes up time and time again with bedwetting. Being in such a deep deep sleep that the normal response to wake just doesn’t happen. He sleeps so deeply that he doesn’t even wake when he’s wet.
There was some other stuff going on with him too (such as grinding teeth, enlarged tonsils).
The mum had tried lots of remedies. She felt he was a ‘typical Pulsatilla child’ as he can be whiny, and easily cries over simple matters. But he is an extremely brave child and can be even fearless at times, which wouldn’t match the typical Pulsatilla indications. And Pulsatilla hadn’t helped.
Another remedy that whines and is great for bedwetting is CALC-PHOS. It matched other characteristics about this guy too (the enlarged tonsils, being fearless, deep sleep). And it was a good match. He responded initially with 2 dry nights. Mum was delighted. Then he slipped for 4 days. I was confident in my choice of remedy so we stuck with it. Then in the 2nd week, Boom! it began.
He went dry for 21 nights!!
Then he slipped again. Moved him on to the next strength of CALC-PHOS and he is dry since. Currently on Day 63 (blog published Feb 2018 and he continues to do well over 2 years later).
He now wakes naturally during the night if he needs to go to the toilet.
I received a video message from him. Thanking me for helping him and telling me how happy and confident he felt. One of the best things I’ve ever got. Wonderful 💕💕💕
